Return Policy 

My Merchant makes every effort to provide quality photography of all products. As a result we do not accept returns except where the basis of the return is covered by the Consumers Guarantees Act or Fair Trading Act. So when you are selecting and finalising your purchase please take time to do so thoroughly.

In certain cases we will accept exchanges for other styles. In this case, the buyer will be responsible for all additional courier charges.

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

The Customer shall inspect the Goods upon delivery and shall within seven (7) days after delivery notify My Merchant in writing of any abnormalities (faults or damage) the Customer wishes to make a claim for.  If the Customer does not, the Customer shall be deemed to have accepted the Goods and no returns shall be made or accepted by My Merchant.

Exceptions / non-returnable items

Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

Exchanges

The Consumer Guarantees Act sets out minimum standards for goods sold by admin@mymerchant.co.nz. In the event that goods sold are not of good quality or are faulty, we have the right to repair, replace or a refund you for the product. If you feel this is the case, please contact us at admin@mymerchant.co.nz.

Refunds

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
If more than 15 business days have passed since we’ve approved your return, please contact us at admin@mymerchant.co.nz.
